Hawaiian Grill Express via Door dash to my hotel was quick and good. I ordered the chicken katsu and barbecue mixed grill and both were very good. They prepared my order very quickly and Door Dash delivered to my room within twenty minutes of ordering. The serving size was quite substantial. Each come with the meat served on top of cabbage, with a side of macaroni salad and white rice. The chicken katsu should be delivered witn some condiment, but one will appreciate the crispness of the katsu. A sauce would be the perfect compliment to that crispy textured chicken. That would put the katsu over the top and allow this to compete with most katsu you will have. The barbecue mixed grill cones with the chicken, pork, and beef short ribs cut Korean style. Here the sweet and tangy barbecue sauce lifts the flavor dramatically; though, the flavor, quality and tenderness of the meat offerings seem to stand on their own. With each dish coming in under twenty bucks, this was a very good value and the taste would appeal to most anyone's palate. The speed of the preparation and delivery were exemplary for an early Saturday evening. Moreover, they do not skimp on the meat. Each dish or platter is enough for the hungriest of appetites. Two people could share one platter actually and the overall experience is very satisfying and satiating. Four stars!

I eat here maybe once a week . It's def a good to. Sometimes I luck out and get a small piece of salmon but any other meats it's a pretty hefty serving. Service is always the same but in a comforting way.

Love this place and huge portion as always. The place is spacious. It was not crowded during 3pm on a weekday. Service was fine. The order took less than 5 min to be done which was great! Food is always yummy! Highly recommend!

Our golf group stopped in after golf to grab a quick lunch. One of our group members said they have a good Kalbe plate. So we all got the Korean kalbe plate with a Diet Coke. The kalbe plate comes with three large grilled Korean short rib slabs with white rice, macaroni salad, and some blanched veggies all for $17. The short ribs were tender but could have had a little more char. Hawaiian Grill Express is located off of Fallon Rd. In the Target / Lucky's shopping center. No frills, fast food style but has some table and chairs for dining in. Plenty of parking.

Excellent Hawaiian plate lunch place with good-sized portions and easy takeout service. We catered a work lunch and tried a variety of their lunch options. The kalbi ribs which were meaty and well marinated, and sat on top of boiled cabbage and steamed broccoli, and served with rice and pretty authentic macaroni salad. The lau lau included succulent chucks of fatty and lean pork and was steamed well. The chicken katsu was crispy and tender, although the Kailua port was a bit salty and dry. We enjoyed the spam musubi which has a tasty teriyaki glaze and generous portion of rice. The potstickers were also well cooked and has a mixed meat-vegetable filling. The loco moco included well-done beef patties and nicely cooked over easy eggs and a rich brown gravy. Overall, they were also easy to work with and looking forward to eating there again soon!

Swell! I ate here yesterday after not knowing what to eat & I was quite satisfied. My fiancé & i's meal wasn't too pricey, came with lots of food, and was pretty good overall. For 2 people, it was a little over $30 for their combo plates which consisted of 2 scoops of rice, macaroni, and the meat with a bedding of veggies on the bottom. The container was full! The rice was made well as well as the macaroni. The meat was soft and moist, I just hoped it was a little more flavor but it was good nonetheless; possibly just needed more salt, honestly. Overall, if you're looking for some Hawaiian food, that is made quick and tasty, and in a decent price range, this is a good spot!

The friendly (masked) staff greeted me warmly. I quickly placed and waited for my order. The dining area was impeccable clean. I ordered the bbq mix plate. Incredible flavors. Mic drop. ... Sauce on the side and I'm in heaven.
